Nylon Rod
One of the most common polymers on the market, Nylon, is a great replacement for metal in applications such as machine parts. It is quite durable and abrasion resistant, as well as holding up well against organic and chemical contacts. Nylon has a high coefficient of thermal expansion and low heat conductivity. It should be exposed to typical operating temperature for several hours before being cut or altered.
